TIE-DYED BLUE BELLADONNA DELPHINIUM | ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHY BY KAREN SANDERS | 12x12 SQUARE ACRYLIC TRAY
ABOUT THE IMAGE:
It's hard to ignore the beautiful Bella Donna Delphinium, not only because of the intense colors, but because of its massive size. One of the reasons I fell in love with this bluish-purple-green variety because it reminds me of tie dye shirts of the late 1960s that has come back in style with my little nieces and their friends.
"Tie-Dyed Belladonna Delphinium" is a part of my Modern Botanical Collection which I began shooting in the Spring of 2017. This modern minimalist collection was inspired by the botanical illustrations of the 19th century and the flower portraits of photography icon Robert Maplethorpe.
